Thomas Sleeper is the founder and driving force behind InterContinental Insurance Brokers, LLC. He is an industry thought leader, visionary, and continues to define the firm’s mission as he directs overall operations and serves as the chief strategist in developing client matters. His innovation and vision with respect to identifying a preferred clientele in niche markets has resulted in the consistent growth of InterContinental Insurance Brokers within the industry segments it serves. His focus continues to be built upon sound financials, comprehensive insurance programs and ensuring that the InterContinental team executes the company’s business initiatives while being held to the highest of industry and ethical standards. His management expertise has enabled him to attract and retain an experienced executive team who not only possess of insurance knowledge, but also understand their clients’ insurance requirements and service expectations.
Mr. Sleeper’s expertise in Industrial, Multi-family and Commercial Real Estate, as well as his Private Client Group experience, has been the cornerstone and foundation of the companies he has built. His understanding of the claims process and successful track record of claim settlements on behalf of his clients has allowed him to maintain a client retention rate well beyond the standard of the industry.
His insurance career spans over thirty-five years of proven property and casualty experience. He was the co-founder of what is now the largest privately owned property and casualty insurance brokerage in Canada. He ran the Boston office of Chicago- based Roanoke Brokerage Services. Early on in his career he held senior executive positions at two of the world’s largest insurance brokerage firms, AON and Sedgwick James (owned by Marsh & McLennan).
Mr. Sleeper graduated from Boston University with a degree in economics. He maintains an AIB professional designation, ongoing Massachusetts brokerage license requirements, and holds insurance licenses throughout the country. He donates a substantial amount of time and resources to support various charities and programs including but not limited to The American Cancer Society, Boston Children’s Hospital, The Travis Roy Foundation and Caritas Communities.
